I have cast Sophie Boehmer as my artist and female protagonist for my music video. She has been alongside me for a very long time and understands what I mean when I explain how I want a situation to play out. Sophie has had lots of stage experience so I feel that she will easily be able to portray a character and will be able to comply with my directing whilst also helping me creatively as she has studied art for a few years and has a eye for detail. She will be dressed in casual clothing (a pair of jeans and a top) and will also wear a long, black cape and a gold crown. This is to show that despite being on the throne, she is just another regular girl who wants to live a normal life. Both the cape and the crown are in my possession, therefore she will not have to bring anything on the filming day.
I have cast Jasmine Finlan-Tuck and Gracie Radford as the two dancers for the music video. I have danced with Jasmine and Gracie for 12 years and I know that I can trust them to contribute choreographic ideas. They will both understand the theme I want to portray and we will work together to make sure the movement is suitable to the theme. The two dancers are a representation of freedom for the protagonist, they will be wearing black dancewear and white buttoned shirts that will be undone and silver tiaras. They are dressed this way to express the idea of purity and freedom, the colour white connotes both of these things. The tiaras are in place to link the two dancers to the artist, as if they are both heirs to the throne and want to break free as well.
